If you visit us at a Gold Buying Event, our professional Gold Buyer will firstly assess your Gold Jewellery items in front of you. He will look at the items through a powerful jeweller's magnifying glass called a 'loop' to see any Hallmarks on your items

If your selection of jewellery contains items of different Gold purities ,or 'carats', then our Gold Buyer will identify these items and separate them, because each Gold purity has a different value. This will be done in front of you.

If your jewellery has any stones included such as Amethyst, Sapphires, Cubic Zirconia, these will have to be removed from the jewellery before weighing because we can only buy Gold ,not stones. The removal of stones will only be done with your permission.

Some of your jewellery items may be broken or tarnished, or may not have a Hallmark. NO PROBLEM. Our Gold Buyer will test these items using an electronic gold tester to establish the carat Gold of these items.

Your jewellery items will then be weighed on our High Precision Digital Scales, which are accurate to 100th gram. This weighing will be done in front of you so that you can see clearly how much your Gold weighs. The Gold weight of all the items will be noted .

Now, with the Gold Purity assessed, and the weight taken, we are able to calculate the VALUE of your Gold and to make you a quotation to buy your Gold.

A calculation, based on the Gold purity(its carat) ,the Gold weight in grams and the prevailing London Bullion Market Fix is used .
